Throughout March, Knighted Neighbors volunteered three times at Wellspring Women’s Center in Sacramento. This non-profit organization serves women and children facing homelessness and poverty, providing essential services and support. The teams served healthy meals in the dining hall, helping to meet the basic needs of those who visited the center. It was beautiful to see our Knights provide compassionate support through their interactions with the women by offering a listening ear, kind words, and a friendly smile.

In addition, the dining hall serves as a place for members to share their artistic expression through painting, writing, crocheting, and much more. Art has been shown to help members cope with trauma, and when looking around the room, one can truly get the sense of healing taking place.

Volunteering with Wellspring Women’s Center was a meaningful and impactful experience for Knighted Neighbors. It allowed them to come together under the banner of servant leadership and show that small acts of kindness can have a profound impact. Special thanks to Wellspring Women’s Center for having us. We hope to volunteer again in the future.
